About CRAVE
Empowering Change-Makers
History: Founded in 2017, Crave emerged from central Floridians of the United Methodist Church. They believed in equipping the next generation of transformational community leaders dedicated to social, environmental, and systemic justice. In 2020, it became an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
How we work: Crave offers a one-year incubation/acceleration experience for participants, known as “Leaders,” who receive personalized coaching and educational workshops with experts from the non-profit, for-profit, religious, educational, and government sectors. These workshops aim to either incubate a new social entrepreneurial enterprise or accelerate an existing one. Crave is currently driven by a paid staff of three dedicated half-time employees and 60 committed volunteers who manage various efforts, programs, connections, sessions, pitch meetings, workshops, and celebrations.
Crave builds skills and networks for grassroots change-makers through a life-long learning community.
