AnnMarie Alvarado is the creator of one of Orlando’s newest social solutions for Children & Families. She believes that one of the most pressing challenges in many communities is increasing caregiver engagement in a child’s education. Demanding schedules, limited resources, language barriers, and a lack of confidence can leave families feeling disconnected from their child’s learning journey.
Her project, “Bee Creative Playgroups”, responds to this need by offering safe, welcoming spaces where families can play, laugh, and grow together. The goal is to champion parents as their child’s first teacher—empowering them through play-based learning and creative exploration. By strengthening family bonds, sparking joy, and nurturing emotional well-being across generations, Bee Creative Playgroups help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and deeper engagement in education.
