Shannan was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and matriculated through Florida State University, earning degrees in Family and Child Sciences and Clinical Social Work. She is the proud mother of 2, Taryn and Laurence.
As an experienced educator and clinical social worker, Shannan is passionate about supporting children, families, and communities through education, advocacy, and counseling. With a background in teaching and school social work, Shannan specializes in counseling students, addressing their emotional and social needs, and equipping educators with strategies to foster healthier learning environments.
Out of a passion for women’s issues and parenting, Shannan founded the LadyHood League, an initiative dedicated to empowering women to Love, Lead, and Lift; because when you love yourself, you lead with purpose, and you lift others higher. Through counseling, coaching, and educational workshops, she helps women and families create more fulfilling lives of purpose, confidence, and connection.
