Emmanuel Burgess, 32, is a Sanford, Florida native whose life is a testament to transformation and purpose. As a teenager, he faced hardships that led him down a troubled path and eventually into prison. But behind those walls, Emmanuel found his breakthrough. With faith in God and a renewed mindset, he turned his mistakes into motivation.
Upon his release, he made a promise—to himself, to his community, and to God—that he would use his story to inspire change in others. That promise gave birth to Guidance for Better Living (G.4.B.L.), a movement dedicated to mentoring youth, teaching life skills, and breaking cycles of struggle.
Today, Emmanuel is a leader, mentor, and visionary who uses his journey as proof that redemption is real and that no one’s past defines their future. Through G.4.B.L., he is building pathways of hope, discipline, and opportunity for the next generation.
